Advocacy Alert: CMS Request for Information About the Importance of Home Health Aides

ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia (ECNV) wants YOU to know about an important opportunity for the disability and senior communities to provide the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services about the important needs of individuals  with disabilities and senior adults for home health aide services provided through the Medicare Program and any problems that YOU, Your Family or Your friends or supporters have had in getting access to home health care services sponsored by the Medicare Program.

This is an important and timely opportunity to contribute to needed change that could promote and maximize the ability of individuals with disabilities and seniors to live independently in the community and prevent unnecessary institutionalization!

Please take time to review the alert from our national association, The National Council on Independent Living (NCIL)and prepare and submit your comments before 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time on Tuesday, August 29.  The alert provides you with background and resources to help you prepare your comments and instructions for submitting them.

Please also take time to share this alert with others. Should you have questions or need assistance, please contact Doris at ECNV at 703.673.4489 (V/R) or via email at dorisr@ecnv.org.
