If it’s difficult to navigate programs and services you need, the ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia (ECNV) is now one of more than 85 national networks offering Benefits Enrollment Counseling through grant support and funding from the National Council on Aging.
Who can benefit from this program?
Eligible Medicare beneficiaries, including seniors aged 65 and above, as well as adults aged 18 - 64 living with disabilities.
Eligibility is based on the individual's income and resource guidelines.

Medicare part D ultimately helps pay for the rising prices of drugs you need to live and manage your condition(s). If your medications are difficult to afford each month, this program MAY help you or your loved ones.

The MSP program is a federally funded program that helps people with limited income pay for Medicare costs. MSPs are also known as Medicare Buy-In programs or Medicare Premium Payment Programs. What's important to know about this particular program is that you may have a copay and that will be based on your income, savings and other assets you have.

Medicare is a federally funded program that helps people with limited income pay for Medicare costs. There are several parts of Medicare which include: Part A, helps cover hospital insurance; Part B, helps cover Medical Insurance, and Part D, helps cover drugs and medicines; and Supplemental Insurance also known as Medigap. Medigap is extra insurance you can buy from a private insurance company that helps you pay costs associated with Medicare. We can help you apply.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or Food Stamps is a monthly benefit to pay for food and supplies you would purchase for you and your family. SNAP monthly benefits are loaded onto an EBT card (just like a Mastercard or Visa credit card) every month and is based on the number of people in your household. We can help you apply.

The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is a federally-funded program that helps low-income households pay their home heating and cooling bills, e.g., Dominion and Washington Gas for those living in our service area of Northern Virginia). This program is available in every state and the District of Columbia, as well as on most tribal reservations and U.S. territories. We can help you apply.

Energy Share
One-time annual support for your heating/cooling and fuel costs (for Dominion and Washington Gas, ONLY)
SSI and SSDI
Monthly benefit for Supplemental Security Insurance (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits for people with disabilities that meet the Social Security Administration's (SSA) definition of disability or have enough qualifying work credits for SSDI.
