RACE: Arlington Disability Access and Action Project
ECNV is organizing Knowledge + Action groups to mutually educate, empower, make connections and access what Arlingtonians with disabilities and health conditions needThe Arlington Disability Access and Action project will share navigation skills, connections and knowledge with South Arlingtonians so that they can not only gain access to what they need and want, but also gain confidence and advocacy support for disability, justice, and equity and want to advocate for disability justice and equity in Arlington.
ECNV’s new RACE Project
Our ECNV RACE project will continue with major outreach and services targeted in South Arlington. According to a 2023 report by Insight Region, over 34% of people in South Arlington fail to meet basic needs compared to 12 % in North Arlington.

ECNV’s new Race to Rebuilding Trust and Community
One of our newest projects at ECNV intends to attack racial inequity along with a significant, but often invisible group facing discrimination, stigma, and inequity: Arlingtonians with disabilities+ other marginalized BIPOC/immigrant/socioeconomic identities.

ECNV is excited to announce that we have recently been selected as an agent for Virginia Housing Accessibility Grants.
ECNV's New Bienvenidos Todos Outreach Grant
On January 16, 2024, Virginia Board for People with Disabilities (VBPD) awarded $300,000 to The ENDependence Center to develop information for Latinos with disabilities and their families. Rosalia Fajardo, ECNV’s Director of Disability Justice Partnerships, looks forward to the prospect of mentoring ten bilingual people with disabilities or family members as they build community networks and bridge access to services, programs, and opportunities for people with disabilities.
